Doctors Warn of 4 Bedtime Habits to Avoid After 65-Year-Old Woman’s Passing
The sudden passing of a 65-year-old woman at dawn has left both her family and doctors searching for answers. According…
Lifestyle stress, UV exposure, and pollution chip away at collagen long before we notice the first fine line. Nature, however, stocks an impressive arsenal of wrinkle-fighting compounds: eugenol-rich cloves stimulate fresh collagen and elastin, omega-3-packed flaxseeds reinforce skin elasticity, and enzyme-laden honey seals in moisture while neutralising free radicals. When these three are blended into a chilled overnight gel—supported by aloe vera, vitamin E, and rose water—you get a lightweight, preservative-free formula that plumps, calms, and visibly renews tired skin within a fortnight of consistent use.
(Quantities make about 50 g—enough for two weeks of nightly application.)
Clove powder – ½ tsp
Freshly prepared flaxseed gel – 2 Tbsp
Raw honey – 1 Tbsp
Aloe vera gel – 1 Tbsp
Rose water – 1 tsp
Vitamin E oil – 5 drops
(Optional) Glycerin – ½ tsp for very dry skin
Extract flaxseed gel
Simmer 1 Tbsp whole flaxseeds in 120 ml water for about five minutes until the liquid becomes thick and slippery. Strain immediately; let the gel cool to roughly skin temperature.
Infuse clove
Set the cooled flax gel over very low heat and whisk in clove powder. Keep stirring for two minutes so the spice disperses evenly without losing its aroma. Remove from heat.
Blend humectants
Fold in honey, aloe vera gel, rose water, vitamin E oil, and glycerin (if using). Stir until the mixture turns glossy and uniform.
Set & store
Spoon the gel into a sterilised amber-glass jar. Chill for 30 minutes; the texture will thicken slightly and take on a pale caramel hue. Refrigerated, it keeps fresh for up to ten days—discard if the scent changes.
Patch test a small dab on the inner arm and wait 24 hours to rule out sensitivity.
Night-time ritual: After cleansing, spread a thin layer over face and neck, massaging upward until absorbed.
Leave overnight, then rinse with lukewarm water in the morning.
Frequency:
Normal/combination skin – three to four nights per week
Dry or mature skin – alternate nights
Daytime care: Because the gel encourages new cell turnover, always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen during daylight hours.
Firms sagging skin by encouraging collagen and elastin production through clove’s eugenol content.
Boosts elasticity; flaxseed lignans and mucilage strengthen the dermal matrix for a springier feel.
Deeply hydrates; honey and flax gel create a breathable moisture film that prevents transepidermal water loss.
Neutralises free radicals with a cocktail of antioxidants from cloves, vitamin E, aloe, and honey.
Soothes redness; aloe vera and rose water calm irritation, making the gel suitable for sensitive complexions.
