      2. Infuse clove

        • Set the cooled flax gel over very low heat and whisk in clove powder. Keep stirring for two minutes so the spice disperses evenly without losing its aroma. Remove from heat.

      3. Blend humectants

        • Fold in honey, aloe vera gel, rose water, vitamin E oil, and glycerin (if using). Stir until the mixture turns glossy and uniform.

      4. Set & store

        • Spoon the gel into a sterilised amber-glass jar. Chill for 30 minutes; the texture will thicken slightly and take on a pale caramel hue. Refrigerated, it keeps fresh for up to ten days—discard if the scent changes.
