A shocking kindergarten abuse case in China sparked widespread outrage after several parents discovered disturbing changes in their children’s behavior after returning home from school.

According to reports from Xianyang City in Shaanxi Province, parents began noticing that their children were becoming unusually fearful and emotionally distressed. Some children reportedly:
One mother said her child had never previously bitten nails seriously, but recently began covering their mouth and biting fingers so hard that blood appeared repeatedly.
Other parents also claimed their children returned home with unexplained injuries on their heads and arms, while some became withdrawn and stopped talking normally with family members.

As concerns grew, groups of parents demanded access to the kindergarten’s surveillance footage. However, they were allegedly only shown recordings from morning drop-off times, while footage from classroom activities and nap periods had mysteriously disappeared.
School administrators reportedly claimed the missing footage could not be shown because of student and teacher privacy concerns.
Suspicious parents later formed private chat groups and continued investigating the situation themselves. Eventually, after reviewing camera recordings during lunchtime hours, they allegedly uncovered disturbing behavior by teachers inside the classroom.
According to reports, surveillance footage showed around 30 children lying down for nap time while two teachers walked around carrying large rulers. Whenever a child lifted their head or moved under the blanket, teachers were allegedly seen striking the children on the head multiple times with the rulers.

Parents also claimed teachers shouted threats at students, warning that children who refused to sleep would be punished publicly or beaten as an example.
Even more disturbing allegations later emerged from some children, who reportedly said teachers forced students to hit each other as punishment for talking during class, then rewarded them with snacks in exchange for staying silent and not telling parents.
The revelations triggered massive anger online after details spread across Chinese social media.
The following day, the kindergarten reportedly held an emergency meeting with parents. School administrators issued a public apology for poor supervision, while the two homeroom teachers involved were suspended from duty pending investigation.
One devastated parent said:
“We trusted the school and believed teachers would care for our children like a second mother. If we had never seen the cameras, we would never have known what our children were suffering.”
The case sparked wider public debate about hidden abuse in schools, surveillance transparency, and the psychological trauma young children may silently endure when they are too frightened to explain what is happening to them.
